Storm off Bloody Point

I created this painting after a particularly gnarly storm I was caught in during my first year as a captain of a charter fishing boat. Trying to outrun a storm in the Chesapeake Bay can be an exhilarating experience, especially as a finger from God blots out the sun and the bay turns a coke bottle green. This is an invented scene from a birds eye.
